Soccer

Jordan no longer wants to play soccer.
She has been begging us.
I really would like for her to finish out the season. She knows no one on her team and I think that bothers her. Last year she knew everyone on her team and they had the best time. She has a game on Saturday morning. I'm really hoping she wants to go! However, I'm not going to force her to do something that she does not enjoy.
Thanks Aunt Jayce for the picture!

Her team won this game!!

Today our "big guy" is celebrating his 1st Birthday!
He has been saying "mom" for about the last 2 weeks! ;)
Just for the record Jordan's first word was "dad".

A trip down memory lane

If you have been reading my blog, you know that Johnson will be 1 on Wednesday. I have a busy week, so I thought while he was taking a nap, I would do a post..a trip down memory lane!
  • Jerry and I tried for 3 years to have another baby
  • In November 2007 we both had some testing done...I was the reason we were not getting pregnant
  • Our awesome doctor went over our options with us
  • In January 2008 we had a fertility procedure done on a Saturday morning
  • 10 days later...we found out we were having a BABY
  • Original due date - October 6th, 2008
  • Doc had told us about possible twins
  • The day we went in for our first ultrasound, Jerry was white as a ghost - he asked the doc "how many do you see?"
  • The day we heard his heartbeat was a miracle
  • I was sick, sick, sick almost the entire 9 months
  • My labor sucked...no other way to put it
  • Doc told Jerry to sit down - he thought Jerry was going to pass out
  • I think all my screaming had done freaked Jerry out
  • Johnson Ginder - mommy, daddy and sissy love you more than you will ever know!!!!
Jayce's wedding.
May 31st 2008.
I was 4 months pregnant

7 months pregnant

8 months pregnant

Our baby shower at the lake - I was 8 1/2 months pregnant

Welcome Johnson Ginder

Proud big sister!

Proud daddy!

Proud mommy!

Happy (early) Birthday "Big Guy"

Middle names

Sometimes I get asked how we came up with Jordan and Johnson's middle name. I thought it would be a neat post.
Jordan's middle name is Mason. Mason was my great-grandma's maiden name on my mom's side of the family.
Johnson's middle name is Montgomery. Montgomery was my great-grandma's maiden name on my dad's side of the family.
We knew we wanted "J" names to keep up with the Ginder tradition. hehe!
I wanted middle names to come from my side of the family - so there ya have it..that is how we got Mason and Montgomery. Now, check out the last picture.

While I was pregnant with Johnson, we took a long weekend and went to Kentucky. As we were pulling out of our hotel this was the road we were turning onto!
How crazy!

1st Birthday!

Saturday evening we had a birthday party for Johnson. We had planned on having it at the lake, but with all the rain we decided to have it at our house. We had such a good time. Good times with family and friends! Johnson was a hoot the entire evening. We are certain he had FUN!!

The "FISH" cake!!
Awesome or what?!?!
A big thank you goes out to Kate Kistler-Patterson for making this for Johnson. All the kids loved it...well, and so did all the grown-up's.
It was just too cute!!!!!

Johnson

Oh, Johnson Montgomery Ginder....you keep mommy on her toes!! I can't believe you are going to be "1" next week. I hope that the rain stays away so we can have your birthday party at the lake!
And, I can't wait for you to see your fish cake!
He pulled all of Jordan's clothes out so he could get in.

Mr. Brave Pants!

This is the look I got when I pulled him down!

He loves pudding!

Johnson and his buddy Blair.
Her and her mommy Tiffany came to visit us one day last week.
We really enjoy when they come visit!

Jordan

My Jordan Mason Ginder is a busy one! She seems to really be enjoying school. Her favorite subjects are reading and spelling. She has dance practice one night a week and soccer practice one or two nights a week. Soccer for her this year is not as fun as last year. She knows no one on her team.
She also spends a lot of time with Aunt Jayce. Jayce leaves to go back to Florida in November. What will Jordan do without her here?!?!
She will miss her like crazy.

Avery, Carsyn and Alivia

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I am doing a little babysitting. It's so much fun! Avery, Carsyn and Alivia are the names of the little ones I keep. They are all part time and it's going very smooth. Avery and Carsyn have been coming since August and Alivia just started last week.

Jordan and Alivia!

Jordan singing to Alivia!

I love this picture. Johnson and Avery love to play with this stroller. Johnson was mad because Avery stopped pushing him!!

Avery and Carsyn love to play and talk about "FOOTBALL"!

I would say their favorite thing to do is dance to Jordan's Taylor Swift CD.
Carsyn is busting out some moves!!
Avery loves snack time!! :)
